MAPEI Malaysia Sdn Bhd is a member of the MAPEI Group of Companies which is head-quartered in Milan-Italy with 82 subsidiaries worldwide. We are a manufacturer and supplier of construction chemicals for building and construction applications and we are looking for Production Planner to be based in our Nilai Plant.

The primary responsibility of the successful candidate is to ensure that the company has a reliable supply of materials (raw material, packaging, indirect material) to support the production needs while minimizing inventory costs and ensuring on time delivery. Define daily production schedules based on customer demand and established capacity.

• Planning material requirements.
• To review, release, expedite, de-expedite, and cancelling of POs (Purchase Orders) based on MRP (Material Requirement Planning).
• Identify potential critical raw materials, provide actions, and prepare supply allocation plans.
• Analyze and escalate any significant raw materials and supplier delivery issues to the manager and ensure smooth production plan and supply to customer.
• Check raw materials and resources availability, plan for production scheduling.
• To prepare monthly raw materials forecast for purchasing department.
• Control WIP and FG inventories at optimum level and minimize product scrap or aging.
• Work closely with Production to fulfil 100% of line items in weekly production plan.
• Work closely with customer service on delivery issues and order confirmations.
• Frequent review on short-term forecast loading to prevent excessive raw materials being purchased.
• Check delivery plan and follow up on shipment status with suppliers.
• Responding to customers' sale order RFS date (Ready Firmed Ship) commitment and demand inquiries.
• Meeting with procurement and suppliers to update demand & supply allocation status, resolve supply issues and build good relationships with suppliers.
• Good understanding of product transition which impacts the raw material, including phase-in and phase-out timeline.
• Able to lead product transition meetings in the supply chain team.
• To perform any tasks as assign by the superior.

Reports to: Production Planning Manager

Work Time: 8:30am – 5:30pm, 5 days a week

Education and/or Experiences:

• Degree in Supply Chain Management, Science, Business Admin, or related field.
• Preferably 3 years of experience in Material Planning, Production Scheduling, Inventory Control, and Data Analysis.
• Experience in the Manufacturing Industry is a must.
• Good knowledge in Microsoft Excel and experienced in ERP systems would be an advantage.
• Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia, both oral and written.
• Goof analytical and statistical skills.
• Self-initiated and able to work effectively to meet the deadline.
