About the Role:

Brooks Automation is a fast-paced technology company working at the forefront of Semiconductor Robotics and Automation solutions. We are seeking an experienced Production Planner to join our team in Johor Bahru at our new manufacturing facility.

The Production Planner will have a solid background in Manufacturing within the Semiconductor industry, strong organizational skills, and the ability to optimize production schedules to meet business objectives. Responsibilities include planning, scheduling, and monitoring the movement of materials through the production cycle, managing inventory levels, capacity planning, and ensuring on-time shipment.

Work Location: Onsite - Johor Bahru.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Review Oracle MRP and similar applications regularly to respond to changes in demand.
  2. Manage SIOP and R&O meetings for product lines.
  3. Create and release Production Orders, ensuring timely completion and resource availability.
  4. Research and analyze root causes of late deliveries and implement corrective actions.
  5. Ensure compliance with Quality Management policies and procedures.
  6. Review inventory levels to minimize excess while supporting delivery and financial goals.
  7. Schedule production orders based on re-order points and customer orders, optimizing manufacturing sequences.
  8. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Competencies:
  1. Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, manufacturing, or related field with 7-8 years' experience in manufacturing, preferably in Semiconductor industry.
  2. Strong understanding of Production Planning and Scheduling processes.
  3. Proficiency in production planning software and tools.
  4. Strong analytical skills for interpreting production data.
  5. Familiarity with ERP systems and lean manufacturing principles; Oracle ERP experience is a plus.
  6. Ability to implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  7. Collaborative team player with attention to detail and accuracy.
