This position is responsible for overseeing and planning the production operations for manufacturing sections, coordinating production staff and equipment to ensure quality and efficiency in production.
Key responsibilities:
- Validate the production plan and launch work orders to production.
- Align production targets with customer needs in collaboration with the production team.
- Ensure material availability before launching work orders in collaboration with the purchasing team.
- Reschedule work in progress (WIP) to manage unexpected events.
- Participate in daily production meetings and communicate priorities.
- Monitor work in progress daily by assembly line and prioritize accordingly.
- Utilize tools such as order management systems, production planning software, and optimization models to make production decisions.
- Launch production kits daily according to line requirements.
- Lead and participate in project kick-off meetings.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and perform other duties as assigned.
- Analyze customer forecasts and orders to coordinate work load with internal teams.
- Check the availability of materials, WIP, and finished goods.
- Plan and deliver work order schedules to production.
- Monitor production to ensure promised dates and delivery schedules are met.
- Perform risk analysis and collaborate across departments to overcome scheduling challenges and improve on-time delivery.
- Advise the order management team on ETD/ETA based on material and production lead times.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, or Diploma in any field.
- Over 3 years of production planning experience in a high-level assembly industry.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to multitask, and work independently or in a team.
- Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking).
