Production Manager (Olechemical)

Main Purpose of Position:

Oversee the process, distribution and daily operations of Ester process plant and drumming plant.

Main Responsibilities:

• Ensure all activities that are carried out are following ESM Integrated Management System requirements (ISO 9001, FSSC 22000, GMP+B2, GMP, HACCP, EFfCI GMP for Cosmetic Ingredients, ISO 22716, KOSHER, HALAL, RSPO and MSPO)
• Performing the risk assessment required by GMPs.
• Maintain efficient quality of effluent discharge and chemical controls.
• Prepare and implement capital improvement program to ensure efficient, sustainable and stable operations.
• Participate in selection of staff, provide and coordinate staff training to ensure safe and efficient performance. To work with employees to correct deficiencies and implement discipline procedure.
• Responsible for product yields, utilities consumption etc. Also responsible for optimum utilization of plant capacities.
• Monitoring of process and performance and troubleshooting in the plants.
• Lead the team in achieving goals of the company.
• Participating in authorizing changes to process, specifications, procedures, test methods and investigating failures and complaints.
• To lead engineers in controlling and monitoring of the production processes to ensure consistent product quality is met.
• To lead in all SHE activities for plant and ensure all PPE and safety equipment are regularly inspected and are able to function at all times.
• Coordinate training for personnel on ESM Integrated Management System requirements.
• Institute plant policies and procedures, direct training programs and complete employee performance reviews.
• Assist to organize and control the Production process to produce the quality of product according to the monthly production agreement.
• To work closely with Maintenance, Electrical and Instrumentation department to ensure that the plant is operating optimally to achieve production target.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum a Degree or Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years working experience in the related field is required, Esterification is preferred.
• Good communication skill, with analytical mind and good at resolving problems.
