Overview

Designation: Production Manager – Sheet Metal

Department: Production

Reporting Manager: Production Plant Manager

Location: Balakong, Kuala Lumpur Malaysia

Incumbent: We are in the industries of sheet metal manufacturing process. You will report directly to the Production Plant Manager. The incumbent is responsible for the management of production operations – Turret Punching, Bending, Welding and Assembly, liaising with other internal teams to ensure operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Manage and evaluate entire production process
• Organize workflow to meet specifications and deadlines
• Monitor production to resolve issues
• Supervise and evaluate performance of production personnel (direct and indirect workers and supervisors)
• Determine amount of necessary resources (workforce, raw materials etc.)
• Plan for maintenance work, purchasing of equipment etc.
• Ensure output meets quality standards
• Enforce health and safety precautions, zero accident rates at all times
• Contribute to production planning and budgeting
• Lead and monitor quality assessments to ensure customer satisfaction
• Maintain a safe production environment

Qualifications

• Possess Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Proven experience as Production Manager / Supervisor with solid knowledge and understanding of production management
• Experience in Sheet Metal Industry is preferred
• Excellent organizational and managerial skills
• Understanding of quality standards and health & safety regulations
• Knowledge of performance evaluation and budgeting concepts
• Experience in reporting on key production metrics
• Proficient in MS Office (especially in Excel) and ERP software
• Able to understand engineering drawings and bill of material
• Outstanding communication ability
• Attention to details
• Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach
• Mechanical design skills is an added advantage
