Job description

Lead and manage the Production Department to drive continuous improvement in manpower, materials, and capital efficiency on the production floor. Oversee production scheduling and ensure product quality meets company standards.

Responsibilities:

Monitor production output and efficiency.

Plan headcount and set performance targets.

Supervise, train, and guide subordinates.

Develop and track KPIs for production activities.

Ensure production runs smoothly and meets delivery schedules.

Verify daily production records and reports.

Manage raw material and WIP inventory for smooth material flow.

Investigate non-conformances and implement corrective/preventive actions.

Identify and implement process improvements.

Maintain a safe and healthy production environment.

Enforce 5S housekeeping standards and production discipline.

Coordinate with departments such as Planning, HR, IT, and Marketing to meet production needs.

Support ISO compliance, audits, and inspections.

Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors.

Manage machine spare parts ordering.

Requirements:

Degree in a relevant engineering or technical field is preferred.

Minimum 5–8 years of experience in production management, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.

Proven experience in injection moulding operations is essential.

Strong knowledge of moulding processes, tooling, and machine troubleshooting.

Hands-on approach with experience managing daily production operations and resolving shop floor issues.

Familiar with lean manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement practices.

Track record in achieving production targets and driving efficiency.

Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Able to coordinate effectively with cross-functional departments.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Willing to be hands-on and support operations directly when needed.
