Job description

Our Client:

We are partnering with a German based MNC that specializes in manufacturing of engineering products. The company is expanding their Malaysia operations and looking for a Production Manager as part of their strategic growth.

Responsibility:

• Supervise and guide production teams, monitor work progress, and resolve any on-floor challenges.
• Conduct regular reviews of capacity, productivity, inventory, and maintenance schedules.
• Authorize requisition of production-related tools, personal protective equipment (PPE), and materials.
• Implement strategies to minimize defects, reduce material waste, and improve operational throughput.
• Uphold all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) protocols across the production floor.
• Identify training needs, assess staff competencies, and facilitate skill development programs.
• Maintain documentation and compliance with ISO and other regulatory systems relevant to the production area.
• Take part in internal and external audits and represent the production department effectively.
• Ensure a well-organized, clean, and hazard-free production environment.
• Support preventive maintenance and equipment upkeep.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or a related technical discipline).
• Minimum 7 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Prior exposure to the transformer or electrical component manufacturing sector is a plus.
• Strong leadership, team management, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficient in production planning, resource management, and quality systems.
• Familiarity with ISO standards, workplace safety regulations, and lean manufacturing practices.
• Ability to multitask, problem-solve, and make decisions under pressure.
