Job summary

A manufacturing company in Selangor is seeking a Production Manager to oversee operations and ensure product quality. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering and at least 5 years of experience in operation management within the manufacturing sector. Strong leadership and analytical skills are essential, as well as proficiency in both English and Bahasa Malaysia.

• Computer literate with experience in Android.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Ensure that all products are manufactured in a correct, cost effective and timely manner in alignment with specifications and quality requirements to targets as set by the Managing Director.
• Responsible for overall management of the production operation.
• Lead the production team in the execution of production plan, ensuring quality and efficiency target are achieved.
• Plan and manage cross functional department support, ensuring production space and manpower optimization.
• Analyse any production quality issues and implement process improvement plan.
• To ensure adequate resources (Man, Machine, Material, Method) are available for smooth operation, inventory and warehouse efficiency.
• To maintains high quality standard of product production and delivery. Ensure compliance to the Company's quality system and implement Kaizen activities.
• Forward plan on material requirements to assist monthly budgeting.
• Participating and leading actively in standardization and cost reduction.
• Effective employee engagement process through selecting, interviewing, on boarding and training of staff. Place emphasis on subordinate development, performance assessment and training.
• Follow the regulations of Occupational Safety & Health. Maintain the production floor with 5S, safety and health activities.

Qualifications

• Possess at least Bachelor Degree in Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering.
• At least 5 years operation management experience in manufacturing environment is needed.
• Independent, analytical and possess good thinking and organization skill.
• Computer literate with experiences in Android.
• Experience in Sheet Metal and Refrigerator industry will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge of CNC and CAM machining is required.
• Proficient in both written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.
