Production Manager

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, or related field) is preferred. Diploma with significant relevant experience will also be considered.

At least 3 years of proven experience in a production management role within a similar manufacturing environment.

Strong knowledge of production planning, scheduling, and control principles.

Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.

Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and understanding of RBA.

Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (e.g.g., Lean, Six Sigma) is highly desirable.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Roles and Responsibilities

Reports to and supports the Factory Manager to oversee and supervise day-to-day work activities in production and support functions, ensuring operations meet production goals and quality standards.

Analyze existing production processes and procedures; propose changes to minimize risks, costs, and wastage, increase yield and productivity, and improve quality and consistency of final products.

Ensure smooth implementation of the work order system in production.

Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure all equipment are well maintained and operating at optimum performance with minimal downtime.

Supervise and train staff to enhance their competencies and skills for maximum efficiency and productivity.

Assist in overseeing all production functions and generating manufacturing reports for performance tracking and analysis.

Develop and implement 6S to improve productivity.

Ensure the factory area is kept clean and all safety measures and guidelines are in place, meeting safety regulations.

Assist in managing transportation, stock, and warehouse operations to ensure proper flow of goods and materials.

Create and manage production schedules, ensuring efficient resource allocation and timely completion of tasks.

Manage overtime arrangements for production teams, and work on improving manufacturing methods, efficiency, and reducing costs.

Assist the Factory Manager in implementing RBA & ISO 9001 systems.

Ensure all staff participate in and adhere to RBA & ISO 9001 requirements.

Understand the requirements for a QMS, including documented information, planning, and process interactions.
