Job description

Purpose Statement

Responsible for the efficient management of production resources, equipment, personnel, and materials.

Job Responsibilities

1. Ensure safety measures and procedures are followed to reduce unexpected incidents and hazards.
2. Develop and maintain a viable plan incorporating hiring, training, capacity modeling, efficiency/yield assumptions, ramp-rate, learning-curve, etc.
3. Ensure production process is carried out in accordance with company policies and procedures.
4. Liaise with warehousing, quality assurance, and logistics teams to ensure prompt shipment of products.
5. Maintain GMP/FDA regulatory requirements, housekeeping, health and safety standards within the department through the involvement of all team members.
6. Manage cross-functional support from QA, materials, IS, and HR for the team.
7. Lead and motivate the core team to deliver exceptional work.
8. Lead the core team in investigating problems, analyzing root causes, and defining solutions.
9. Manage floor space and work with the Industrial Engineering group to optimize the utilization of space designated for specific operations.
10. Liaise with trainers to analyze training requirements for line flexibility and agility.
11. Work with EHS to establish targets and identify significant environmental impacts of BS Penang operations.
12. Lead the core team in strategy planning to improve safety, quality, service, costs (efficiency & yield), equipment uptime, and employee punctuality.
13. Recommend process improvements to enhance safety, quality, service, costs, equipment uptime, and employee punctuality.
14. Suggest changes in workflow, operations, and equipment to maximize production efficiency.

Job Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field.
2. More than 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment in a related field.
3. Ability to lead the core team in achieving departmental goals and objectives.
4. Knowledge of quality management systems.
5. Experience in the medical industry is an advantage.
