Job summary

Rossi Design in Malaysia is seeking a Production Engineer to provide engineering and technical support for daily production operations, ensuring smooth, safe, and efficient manufacturing. You will monitor processes, troubleshoot issues, and drive CAPA and continuous improvements across cross-functional teams.

The role emphasizes data-driven analysis, root-cause investigation, and collaboration with maintenance, quality, and process engineering to meet targets and uphold quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical/manufacturing/industrial/mechatronics or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience in production engineering or related manufacturing operations.
• Experience with ERP systems and ISO 9001 Quality Management is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering and technical support to daily production operations to ensure smooth, safe, and efficient manufacturing activities.
• Monitor production processes, equipment performance, productivity, and operational efficiency to support production targets.
• Troubleshoot production, machine, equipment, and process-related issues and coordinate timely corrective actions to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with Production Manager, Production Planner, Process Engineer, Quality, Maintenance, and other departments to resolve issues.
• Analyze production performance, downtime, rejection, scrap, and other losses; recommend improvement actions.
• Conduct root cause analysis and support CAPA for production and quality issues.
• Provide technical support for machine setup, production trials, process adjustments, and new product introduction.
• Support process improvements, engineering changes, and new manufacturing methods from Engineering team.
• Ensure processes follow SOPs, Work Instructions, and quality requirements; improve production methods and tooling.
• Coordinate with Maintenance on preventive/corrective maintenance to improve machine reliability.
• Provide training to Production personnel on equipment operation and good manufacturing practices.
• Support capacity, line balancing, and productivity improvement activities; maintain ERP data accuracy.
• Participate in daily production meetings and report on technical issues and corrective actions.
• Support workplace safety, risk reduction, 5S, and continuous improvement activities in production areas.
• Prepare engineering reports, production analyses, and other technical documentation; perform other duties as assigned.
