Air Liquide Malaysia is hiring a Production Engineer (Melaka) to lead safe and reliable site operations, monitor performance, and drive continuous improvements. You will manage maintenance regimes, coordinate with technicians, and ensure compliance with MOC and permits-to-work while upholding high HSE standards.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering and at least 3 years’ relevant experience, with a hands‑on approach and teamwork focus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of engineering experience in related industry with chemical process operations.
• Robust knowledge of industrial safety frameworks and requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to lead a collaborative team of technicians.

Responsibilities

• Lead safe and reliable site operations by monitoring performance and aligning with industry best practices.
• Identify KPIs and use data to implement improvement strategies.
• Optimize plant processes to meet budgets with high efficiency and reliability.
• Own the site maintenance regime and manage work orders and spare parts.
• Collaborate with maintenance teams to minimize downtime and schedule maintenance for peak availability.
• Enforce MOC and permit-to-work; promote near-miss reporting.
• Maintain up-to-date operating docs and SOPs for guidance.
• Provide training and guidance to ensure personnel are qualified.
• Support supply reliability and IMS compliance; liaise with authorities on HSE standards.
• Assist during emergencies; troubleshoot and implement corrective actions.
