Job summary

A leading chemical manufacturing company in Negeri Sembilan is seeking a Production Engineer to assist the Site Manager with plant maintenance and production operations. Ideal candidates will possess a Degree in Chemical/Mechanical Engineering and have at least 3 years of experience in a Chemical Plant. Responsibilities include supervising staff, managing project operations, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards in production.

Job description

To assist the Site Manager with the plant maintenance, utility, andproduction operations.

SCOPE OF DUTIES:

1.Assist Site Manager in planning of glue plant & formalin plant production schedule.

2.Undertake and implement plant preventive and breakdown maintenance.

3.Assist in all projects undertaken by the Company from time to time.

4.Supervise production, utility, and maintenance staff.

5.To provide technical support for the Company products both in and outside the factory.

6.Line responsible for the factory's Safety, Health and Environment

7.Resolve routine grievances within the Section.

8. To support all ISO programs in the company

9. To support all reports related to Sustainability required by the regional office & Company

10. To be responsible for the risk register (plant) together with the HSE personnel

11. Oversee project management in plant operations from proposal acceptance to installation and ensure that projects undertaken are within budget and on time.

12. Interface in close liaison with the authority and the management team to ensure a smooth process, quality product, and optimized operation

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Possess a Degree in Chemical/Mechanical Engineering

EXPERIENCE OR SKILLS REQUIRED:

At least 3 years of relevant working experience in a Chemical Plant.
