Job Responsibilities:
1. Production Planning and Execution:
Plan, schedule, and oversee all aspects of production, ensuring that operations run efficiently and meet production goals.
Monitor production performance and output, adjusting resources and schedules as needed to meet deadlines.
2. Quality Assurance and Compliance:
Ensure that all production processes meet the required quality standards and regulations, including compliance of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and 45001
Implement corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives to address quality issues and reduce defects in product lines.
3. Team Leadership and Training:
Lead and manage the production team, including supervisors, technicians and operators, ensuring they are trained in proper procedures and safety protocols.
Allocate tasks and resources effectively to meet production targets while maintaining quality standards.
4. Production Process Optimization:
Identify areas for process improvement and implement lean manufacturing practices to optimize efficiency, reduce waste, and increase production capacity.
Oversee the use of statistical process control (SPC) and other methods to monitor process efficiency and minimize downtime.
5. Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance:
Ensure that the production meet all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments, addressing any hazards or non-compliance issues in the production environment.
6. Maintenance and Equipment Management:
Oversee the maintenance and repair of machines and auxiliary equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
Implement a preventive maintenance program to keep equipment in optimal working condition.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Candidate must possess at least Professional Certificate/Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing factory, with at least 3+ years in a managerial role.
• Familiar with factory production operations and management, with experience in production management, cost control, and quality management.
• Experience in setting up an electromechanical manufacturing plant from scratch (0 to 1), with strong skills in communication and coordination.
• Proficiency in English, Malay, and Mandarin to effectively communicate with colleagues from diverse nationalities and backgrounds.
• Strong communication skills and systematic thinking, capable of effectively liaising with headquarters and local government authorities.
