Overview
Should be able to troubleshoot errors on Informatica, Teradata, Hadoop platforms and support applications built on top of it.
Strong problem solving knowledge on databases like Hadoop, Teradata & SQL.
Responsibilities
- Monitor jobs/workflow and work with technical teams to derive permanent fixes.
- Hands-on experience in building and troubleshooting Informatica mappings.
- Handle and manage ETL processes and data warehousing platforms.
- Hands-on experience in writing, debugging, and testing shell scripts.
- Hands-on experience in Teradata utilities like BTEQ, FastLoad, MultiLoad, TPT.
- Experience in writing, debugging, and testing Hive scripts.
- Hands-on experience in any scheduling tool.
- Ability to logically prioritize tasks and schedule work accordingly.
- Deep understanding of data warehouse concepts.
- Hands-on experience in processes like incident management, problem management and change management.
- Should be a good team player and an individual contributor.
- Should be able to interact with both technical and non-technical users and address their queries.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good working experience in a support role.
- Should be flexible for long working hours and be ready to work in 16x7 shift or on-call support.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor Degree / Master in IT/Computer Science / Engineering or related discipline
- Experience: 6-10 years
- Job-specific skills & competencies: Must have hands-on Oracle Data Integrator, Big Data/Hadoop, Java/Python, UNIX Shell scripting, Any Scheduling tool, and be ready to work in a Support Model (16X7) on rotation basis.
