Product Specialist (North Region-Penang, Kedah, Perlis)
The Product Specialist is responsible for driving the sales and market penetration of animal health supplement products. This role combines product expertise, customer engagement, and sales execution. The Product Specialist works closely with veterinary clinics, pet retailers, distributors, and key accounts to educate customers, promote product benefits, and achieve sales targets.
Responsibilities
- Achieve assigned sales targets and volume objectives for animal health supplement products.
- Develop and execute sales plans to grow product presence across assigned territories and customer segments.
- Identify new business opportunities with veterinary clinics, pet retailers, breeders, and other relevant partners.
- Negotiate sales terms and pricing in collaboration with the Head of Sales.
Product & Training
- Serve as a subject matter expert on product usage and benefits.
- Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and training sessions for customers, veterinarians, retail staff, and internal teams.
- Provide technical support and answer customer inquiries related to product usage and benefits.
Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
- Conduct regular customer visits to monitor sales performance, satisfaction, and identify opportunities for cross-selling or upselling.
- Support engagement with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and partnerships with veterinary professionals.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify opportunities or threats.
- Provide sales reports, forecasts, and market insights to management.
- Collaborate with marketing on promotional activities, campaigns, and product launches.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Business, Nutrition, Medical Sciences, or related fields.
- Experience dealing with veterinary clinic channels is an advantage.
- Position can be based remotely in the Northern region or at our Head Office in Chemor, Perak.
- Must be willing to travel extensively.
