MAIN PURPOSE

The Product Specialist is a key player in Bayer’s mission to improve people's lives through science. In this role, you will build strong relationships with healthcare professionals (HCPs) to promote Bayer's products and therapeutic areas. You will be expected to achieve sales targets while adhering to ethical and compliance standards. With a focus on shared ownership, the Product Specialist will also contribute to broader business objectives and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams.

YOUR TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Key tasks and responsibilities

  • Sales Achievement:
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets for assigned products within the territory.
  • Develop and implement effective territory plans to optimize sales potential via Plan of Action.
  • Conduct regular customer visits, providing scientific information and addressing HCP needs.
  • Generate demand for Bayer products through value-based selling and clinical evidence.
  • Customer Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key HCPs in the territory.
  • Understand HCP needs and preferences to tailor promotional activities accordingly.
  • Utilize CRM tools to effectively manage customer interactions and data.
  • Provide timely and accurate feedback on market dynamics and customer insights.
  • Medical and Scientific Expertise:
  • Possess a deep understanding of Bayer's products, therapeutic areas, and clinical data.
  • Stay updated on medical advancements and industry trends.
  • Deliver scientific presentations and educational programs to HCPs.
  • Collaborate with medical affairs to address HCP inquiries and provide scientific support.

WHO YOU ARE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy , registered pharmacist is a MUST
  • At least 1-3years’ experience in sales, preferably in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
  • Experience in Ophthalmology or Specialty care is required
  • Key account management experience will be an added advantage.
  • Good track record on HCPs interactions and strong understanding of the healthcare market and environment.
  • Possess strong presentation, planning, organization and analytical and strategic thinking skills
  • Strong sense of commitment and dedication, with sense of urgency to get things done and results-driven attitude
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong team player, adaptable and versatile with the ability to work cross-functionally in the team
