Summary
Product Specialist is a key driver of customer interactions and sales performance, representing our customer experience approach and building deep relationships to deliver value for customers and patients, thereby driving sales growth ethically and compliantly.

About The Role
As a Product Specialist, you will be responsible (directly or indirectly) for achieving sales targets and promoting products to healthcare professionals within a specific account, product, or territory in the Oncology specialty area, bringing specialist knowledge in the relevant therapeutic area.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Drive competitive sales growth by identifying and prioritizing high-potential customers through data analysis (HCPs and stakeholders) who influence prescription decisions, and orchestrate positive customer experiences to enhance sales performance.
  • Engage in value-based conversations (both in-person and virtual) to understand customer challenges, decision drivers, pain points, and opportunities.
  • Personalize and orchestrate customer engagement journeys for target HCPs, reflecting their preferences and leveraging multiple engagement channels and content.
  • Build engagement by partnering with HCPs to develop sustained collaborations, delivering memorable, customer-centric experiences that go beyond clinical differentiation by listening to their needs and understanding their healthcare environment.
  • Establish effective relationships with opinion leaders and medical influencers at the territory level, challenging current behaviors to improve the patient journey (right patient, right time). Develop deep customer insights and understanding by gathering insights on their business needs.
  • Follow up on customer feedback, translating responses into actions that add value and exceed expectations. Use available data sources to prioritize and adjust territory, account, and customer interaction plans. Share insights with internal teams to support content, campaigns, and interaction planning.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement solutions addressing unmet customer and patient needs, acting as a trusted partner to help customers manage their business ethically and compliantly, creating value-added solutions.
  • Act with integrity and honesty, treating customers and colleagues respectfully and transparently. Uphold the Novartis Code of Ethics and Values, and speak up against ethical dilemmas.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Biomedical, or related disciplines.
  • Experience in Healthcare, Pharma, or related sales.
  • 1-2 years of experience working with hospitals.
  • Experience handling Oncology or specialty portfolios.
  • Understanding of the evolving pharmaceutical industry dynamics.
  • Proficient in English (spoken and written) with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Digital and technology savvy.
