About the Role
Are you passionate about shaping the future of cross-border payments? This is your chance to play a pivotal role in a transformative programme that is reimagining payment experiences across the bank. As the Product Owner within a key strategic workstream, you will spearhead the development and delivery of an innovative remittance platform under the Group’s Fit For Growth (FFG) programme. You’ll work with multi-disciplinary teams to drive digital journeys, product innovation, and platform standardization—turning vision into value while delivering best-in-class customer experiences. Key Responsibilities
Define the end-to-end product vision for cross-border payments, in alignment with business strategy.
Develop and maintain a clear product roadmap, prioritising backlog items and crafting user stories to meet business goals.
Act as the voice of the customer and key decision-maker in an Agile squad, driving delivery in line with defined OKRs.
Collaborate with Hive Lead, Chapter Leads, and fellow Product Owners to align on roadmaps, dependencies and priorities.
Business & Commercialization
Work closely with market teams to commercialize new capabilities and promote adoption.
Track product performance and continuously optimize based on success metrics and client feedback.
Processes & Operations
Evaluate and enhance existing back-end systems and technical stacks for optimal straight-through processing.
Lead and manage stakeholder engagement across functions to ensure consistent alignment on deliverables and timelines.
People & Talent
Support squad member development and provide input for performance evaluations.
Identify and address capability gaps, working with Hive and Chapter Leads to ensure resources are appropriately aligned.
Ensure all submissions to internal forums (e.g. QPRs, MPRs) are timely and accurate.
Work closely with Legal, Compliance, Risk, and Technology to ensure regulatory and internal standards are met.
Promote the highest standards of conduct and actively manage emerging risks in the product lifecycle.
The Ideal Candidate
Minimum of 10–12 years’ experience in banking, with strong exposure to Retail Clients and digital payment products.
Proven track record in product and project management, with expertise in cross-border/remittance payments.
Experience working in Agile environments and managing multi-disciplinary teams.
Agile or PMP certification preferred.
Strong understanding of payments infrastructure and network associations.
Financially astute, with budget management and forecasting experience.
Deep appreciation for risk, controls, and compliance requirements in banking.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.
Demonstrated resilience, analytical thinking, and ability to work under pressure.
