Job summary

S&P Global's Enterprise Data Organization (EDO) is seeking an API integration specialist to design client-specific file configurations and support seamless data sharing into warehouses such as Snowflake, BigQuery and Databricks. You will lead migrations from legacy systems, while driving automation and process improvements to boost operational efficiency.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of API integration experience with Python, Java, JSON, SQL, and XML, plus a degree in computer science or IT.

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of API integration experience with hands-on programming in Python, Java, JSON, SQL, and XML.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field.
  • Knowledge of data warehouse solutions such as Snowflake, GCP BigQuery and Databricks.
  • Strong problem-solving and technical troubleshooting abilities.
  • Excellent communication for effective client & stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement customized file configurations for client needs.
  • Provide expert troubleshooting for API integrations.
  • Lead client migration to the Data Delivery platform from legacy systems.
  • Drive process optimization and automation to boost efficiency.
  • Manage monthly KPI reporting and derive actionable insights.
  • Collaborate with Product & Development to fix issues and improve solutions.
  • Engage with senior clients to ensure alignment and satisfaction.
  • Facilitate agile planning, prioritization and coordination within the team.

About the Role:

The Team: The Enterprise Data Organization (EDO) provides Data & Distribution services to data producers within S&P Global. Our team values innovation and collaboration, striving to optimize data operations and distribution processes to meet the evolving needs of our business partners.

Responsibilities and Impact:
  • Design and implement customized file configurations tailored to client needs.
  • Provide expert technical troubleshooting and problem-solving for API integrations.
  • Deliver technical consultancy to facilitate smooth API integration processes, and data sharing into warehouse solutions, including Snowflake, GCP BigQuery and Databricks.
  • Lead client migration projects from legacy systems to our Data Delivery platform.
  • Champion process optimization and automation to enhance efficiency.
  • Manage monthly KPI reporting, generating insights from operational metrics to drive performance improvements.
  • Identify and specify application issues, collaborating with Product & Development teams for improvements.
  • Engage proactively with senior clients and stakeholders to ensure alignment and satisfaction.
  • Facilitate the Agile process for prioritization, coordination, and planning within the team.
What We’re Looking For:
Basic Required Qualifications:
  • 1-3 years of proven experience in API integration and programming skills in Python, Java, JSON, SQL, XML.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of data warehouse solutions, including Snowflake, GCP BigQuery and Databricks.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a technical troubleshooting background.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective client and stakeholder engagement.
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with operational tooling and automation techniques.
  • Proficient understanding of software systems and enterprise application development.
  • Experience in Azure DevOps, Splunk, Salesforce, MS Excel, and PowerBI.
  • Ability to generate insights from operational metrics and drive performance improvements.
