About Wealth and Retail Banking
Wealth and Retail Banking (WRB) serves more than 11 million clients in many of the world’s fastest-growing markets. Our client continuum spans from Mass Retail to Affluent, including high-net worth clients served by our Private Bank. We leverage digital banking channels with a human touch to provide clients with differentiated products and services such as deposits, payments, financing, wealth management and personalised advice. We also support small business clients with their business banking needs.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Product Manager for our Managed Investments team. This role is pivotal in leading a team to effectively manage our investment funds proposition and services, aiming to maximize the growth of the bank’s fee-based income and Assets Under Management (AUM).

Role’s tasks

New Product Development

  • Oversee the end-to-end development of investment products, including but not limited to mutual funds, to drive fee income revenue and grow AUM across various segments.
  • Spearhead the ideation, sourcing, approval, and pricing strategy of new products and providers.
  • Secure sponsorship and provide training to various segments, including Personal, Preferred, Priority, and Priority Private.
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies, including product direction, positioning, pricing, and promotion.

Investment P&L Management

  • Manage investment fee income revenue and related activities to meet corporate financial goals.
  • Control costs to achieve targeted cost/income ratios, aligning with department and organizational financial objectives.

Processes - Product Provider Management

  • Conduct due diligence on new product providers and recommend approvals to the Group.
  • Perform periodic due diligence and maintain documentation on existing partners to ensure compliance with provider standards.

Product Marketing & Management

  • Collaborate with investment advisors and Wealth Retail Banking management to formulate and execute local investment fund services strategies and business plans.
  • Coordinate investment seminars to enhance knowledge and strong idea of investment funds.
  • Manage product updates, both internally and externally.
  • Prepare and coordinate portfolio rebalancing to adapt to market conditions.

People & Talent

  • Continuously upskill, reskill, and train key stakeholders, including client relationship teams and investment advisor teams.

Governance

  • Ensure the implementation of systems and operational procedures to assist investment sales and securities transactions.
  • Establish rules and guidelines to meet all internal and external legal, compliance, and risk management requirements.
  • Maintain accurate product records, manage corporate actions, and interface with internal stakeholders and external product providers.

Role’s requirements

  • Proven experience in product management within the investment or financial services industry.
  • Strong management skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Interpretive mindset with the ability to drive strategic judgements based on data and market insights.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements related to investment products and services.
