Job Description

• Responsible for the development of systems related to vehicle powertrain, body, interior, exterior, chassis, and air conditioning.
• Contribute to the design of technical solutions, set technical standards, address product quality issues, and supervise localisation development efforts.
• Manage technical coordination with suppliers, ensuring adherence to development requirements.
• Oversee the timely completion of product development milestones, ensuring alignment with project timelines and business goals.
• Identify, analyse, and solve complex engineering problems
• Work closely with cross-functional teams for product development
• Conduct product testing and validation
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
• Provide technical support to production and sales teams
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
• Prepare technical reports and presentations

The Successful Applicant

A successful 'Product Engineer (R&D)' should have:

• A Bachelor's degree or higher in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, Automation, Computer Science, Information Engineering, or a related discipline.
• In-depth knowledge of vehicle and component development processes, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in an OEM environment.
• Specialised expertise in at least one of the following areas: powertrain, body, interior, exterior, chassis, or air conditioning systems.
• Strong project management and problem-solving capabilities, with a proven ability to drive technical innovation.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to improve efficiency and product performance in automotive development.
• Proven experience in product engineering and design.
• Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering tools.
