Job summary

Fengshi Metal Technology in Malaysia seeks a Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineer to lead NPIs from design review to mass production and improve DFx for cost, quality, and efficiency. You will review drawings, specifications, and BOMs for manufacturability and work with sheet metal, stamping, machining, and assembly teams to resolve issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.
• 2–5 years in product engineering or manufacturing engineering (sheet metal or precision manufacturing preferred).
• Experience with sheet metal fabrication, stamping, CNC machining, and assembly is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of DFM/DFA principles and ability to read GD&T drawings.
• Familiarity with CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor).

Responsibilities

• Support new product introduction (NPI) from design review to mass production.
• Review customer drawings, specifications, and BOMs for feasibility and manufacturability.
• Propose DFM/DFA improvements to optimize cost, quality, and production efficiency.
• Prepare and maintain engineering documents (drawings, specifications, ECN/ECR).
• Work with sheet metal, stamping, machining and assembly teams to resolve technical issues.
• Define manufacturing processes, work instructions, and control plans.
• Support first article inspection (FAI) and pilot runs.
• Act as technical contact for customers on product-related matters.
