Job summary

Agilent Technologies in Penang, Malaysia is seeking an Electrical/Mechatronic engineering graduate to support day-to-day manufacturing operations, drive improvements, and coordinate with design engineering to ensure manufacturability and reliability.

You will develop and maintain processes, work instructions, tooling, BOMs and routings, participate in NPI activities, and contribute to cost reductions and risk assessments while complying with quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechatronic engineering or related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day manufacturing operations to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, yield, quality, and operational efficiency.
• Identify, analyze, and resolve manufacturing and process-related issues using structured problem-solving methodologies.
• Develop, implement, and maintain manufacturing processes, work instructions, tooling, fixtures, and test methods.
• Participate in New Product Introduction (NPI) activities and support product transfers from development to production.
• Collaborate with design engineering teams to ensure products are designed for manufacturability, quality, and reliability.
• Support product lifecycle management activities, including cost reductions, process improvements, and component obsolescence management.
• Partner with suppliers and procurement teams to address quality, delivery, and material availability issues.
• Create and maintain manufacturing documentation, including Bills of Materials (BOMs), routings, process flows, and engineering change documentation.
• Utilize manufacturing data and digital tools to drive process improvements and operational excellence.
• Support validation, qualification, and risk assessment activities to ensure robust manufacturing processes.
• Ensure compliance with quality, regulatory, safety, and company standards.
