Job summary

Hong Leong Bank Berhad is seeking an experienced wealth management professional to implement product strategy, evaluate unit trusts, and manage relationships with UTMCs. The role includes training frontline staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving fee income and AUM growth through quality investment products.

The candidate should have an undergraduate degree in finance-related fields, 5+ years in wealth management, and strong interpersonal skills, with proficiency in MS Office.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in accounting, banking, investment or finance.
• Certification in investment is an advantage.
• At least 5 years of experience in wealth management or financial/investment field.
• Strong interpersonal, collaborative and team-oriented mindset.
• Proficient with MS Office tools (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).

Responsibilities

• Implement product strategy and business plans to hit Unit Trust targets.
• Due diligence and evaluation for unit trust onboarding and manage UTMC relations.
• Provide training support to the frontline.
• Manage relationships with counterparties and internal stakeholders.
• Provide market research feedback on local financial services.
• Ensure compliance with internal and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure frontline training is conducted and documented.
• Maintain and update product programs and policies.
• Prepare user requirements for system enhancements.
• Develop fee income from investment products and grow AUM.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement products strategy and business plans to achieve Unit Trust financial targets.
• Due diligence and product evaluation for unit trust on-boarding process and manage relationship with UTMCs to secure quality products, in compliance to regulatory requirement and internal guidelines.
• Provide training support to the ground.
• Manage business relationship with counterparties and internal stakeholders, with the objective of securing quality products.
• Provide feedback on research developments in the local financial services market place.
• Implement appropriate rules and guidelines to ensure all internal and external, legal, compliance and risk management requirements are met.
• Ensure that frontline undergo formal initial and on-going formal training requirements.
• Responsible for product program and policies update.
• Responsible for user requirement specification preparation for system enhancement.
• Build up banks investment products Fee Income
• Build up banks Unit Trust AUM
• Build up banks overall investment products sales

Job Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting/Banking/Investment/Finance or a related field
• Possess professional investment related certification will be added advantage.
• Min 5 years of relevant experience in Wealth Management, Financial/Investment field.
• Strong interpersonal skills- Personable, approachable, collaborative
• Proficient in MS Office such as PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
