Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Purchasing cum Product Development specialist to manage sourcing while driving new product development from concept to commercial launch.

You will identify opportunities, source materials and packaging, prepare costings, coordinate trials with QA/QC and Production, and ensure timely delivery across functions. Diploma/degree in a related field and strong communication and Excel skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level or diploma in a related field with interest in food product development and purchasing.
• Experience or strong interest in chocolate/confectionery product development is preferred.
• Proactive, organized, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new product ideas and concepts based on market trends and company direction.
• Source raw materials and packaging, obtain quotations, and liaise with suppliers.
• Prepare product costing, packaging costings, and quotations for management review.
• Coordinate product trials with Production and QA/QC, record results, and implement improvements.
• Follow up on development projects from concept to final launch with cross-department alignment.
