Job description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: -

  • To develop innovative products to achieve personal KPIs and contribute to the PD department's objectives.
  • To source new ingredients for product development, ensuring alignment with quality, regulatory, and cost standards.
  • To identify and evaluate alternative ingredients for cost-reduction initiatives without compromising quality.
  • Proactively seek ingredients that enhance the quality or add value to existing products, ensuring compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, consumer preferences, and competitive product offerings.
  • Prepare, maintain, and organize documentation required for audits, including ingredient sourcing records, trial logs, and product specifications.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary information, addressing queries, and ensuring corrective actions are implemented
  • Co-supervise, arrange and document all PD trial and pilot runs, including downtime reports and corrective actions.
  • Other reasonable responsibilities as assigned by superior from time to time.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE REQUIRED: -

  • Understanding of food science and technology.
  • Innovative, willing to learn and adopt new ideas.
  • Ideally possess leadership skills, or supervisory skills as a minimum.
  • Basic understanding of GMP and HACCP.
  • Good written and spoken communication ability in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • High spirit of teamwork.
  • 2-3 years of experience in the same industry
