Job summary

A leading executive search firm is seeking a qualified candidate with expertise in PVC and related polymer formulations. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field and at least 3 years of experience in product development, technical service, or application engineering within the PVC industry. Strong communication skills in English and Mandarin are a must, along with a solid understanding of quality systems and regulatory frameworks.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in product development within the PVC industry.
• Proficient in both spoken and written English and Mandarin.
• Familiarity with plastic additives and PVC formulations is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop and evaluate PVC-based products from concept to commercialization.
• Conduct laboratory testing and application trials for product performance.
• Prepare technical documentation including TDS and formulation documents.

Responsibilities

• Strong expertise in PVC and related polymer formulations, additive systems, and processing technologies (e.g., extrusion, calendaring, injection molding).
• Proficient in laboratory testing, product evaluation, and conducting application trials for PVC-based products.
• Skilled in interpreting and preparing Technical Data Sheets (TDS), formulation documents, and test reports.
• Familiar with end-to-end product development processes, from concept to commercialization.
• Experienced in using analytical tools and laboratory equipment for material characterization and performance testing.
• Knowledgeable in quality systems, regulatory requirements, and safety protocols within laboratory and manufacturing settings.
• Adept at technical troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and handling customer complaints effectively.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software for documentation and reporting

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in product development, technical service, or application engineering within the PVC industry or related polymer sectors.
• Proven experience in PVC or related polymer formulation, additive selection, and processing techniques such as extrusion, injection moulding, or calendaring. Familiarity with product performance testing, troubleshooting, and customer support in industrial or commercial applications
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including Sales, Technical Service, and Manufacturing to support product development and optimization initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, Materials Science, or a related technical discipline
• Solid understanding of formulation development, material behaviour, and product testing methodologies
• Proficient in both spoken and written English and Mandarin, enabling effective communication across teams and with customers
• Familiarity with plastic additives, PVC formulations, or polymer processing is highly advantageous.
