Job summary

Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years of laboratory experience; construction chemicals experience is advantageous.

Job description

Able to perform routine Research and Development tasks such as product modification, product engineering, local product development, and product testing in cementitious products (Euclid Chemical).

Evaluate alternative and/or new raw materials according to test methods and product specifications.

Proactively initiate and follow up on all R&D activities upon stakeholder requests.

Assist and/or lead the scale-up from laboratory to full production, and monitor plant production batches as necessary.

Provide support for Quality Control and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Support testing and visit job sites for new or improved product application trials if required.

Plan, execute, and document tests and analyses, producing reports as needed.

Maintain laboratory procedures, instructions, and documentation in accordance with Quality Management Systems.

Ensure work output and departmental standards meet the company's quality standards.

Manage R&D and lab equipment, ensuring proper maintenance and utilization.

Stay updated on health and safety issues and maintain high housekeeping standards in the laboratory.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Possess at least a Degree or Professional Certificate in Material Science, Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering.
• 1 to 3 years of laboratory experience; experience in construction chemicals, paints and coatings, concrete, or drymix mortars is an advantage.
• Proficient in English and Bahasa Melayu, both written and spoken.
• Hands-on experience with computer applications.
• Problem-solving skills, including being a fast learner, hardworking, flexible, responsible, and a good leader.
• Highly motivated, independent, and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of safety and health standards and commitment to safety.
• Team player with effective collaboration skills.
• Willing to work in Serendah.
