Qualifications for CAD Designer

Conceptualise and develop innovative product designs that meet customer needs and exceed expectations

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers and marketers, to bring product ideas to life

Conduct user research and market analysis to inform design decisions

Create detailed product prototypes and renderings to effectively communicate design concepts

Optimise product designs for manufacturability and cost-effectiveness

Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in product design

Continuously refine and iterate on design solutions to ensure they meet evolving requirements

Job Requirements:

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field

Minimum 3 years of experience in product design, preferably in the Mechanical Engineering industry

Proficiency in CAD software, such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD, and design visualisation tools

Strong understanding of design principles, manufacturing processes, and materials

Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills

Creativity and the ability to think outside the box

Effective communication and collaboration skills
