Job summary

A leading company in the retail and consumer products sector is seeking an administrative assistant to support day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate will have a diploma in business or a related field, strong time management, and basic Excel skills. Fresh graduates are welcome, providing opportunity for growth in a dynamic environment while working effectively with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

  • Preferably minimum 1 year experience in purchasing or retail.

  • Assist in clerical/administrative tasks like purchase orders and databases.

To assist in creating and maintaining with day-to-day clerical / administrative tasks, such as purchase orders, products database, price list etc.

To identify and troubleshoot any errors that arise in the company’s retail portal, and to fix the issues.

Communicate with suppliers & partners to ensure accuracies of pricing, costing, discounts are up to date.

To ensure all shipments and deliveries to and from distributors are on time and accounted for.

To assist Product Managers in sending memos to vendors regarding store opening, stock requests and allocations, events etc.

Work effectively as a member of a cross-functional department team between Buying, Planning, and Distribution by focusing on team objectives and communicating clearly.

Job Requirements:

Candidate(s) must possesses at least a Diploma in Business related field or equivalent.

Preferably minimum 1 year experience in purchasing (or related) field or retail industry, however any interested persons are encouraged to apply.

Fresh graduates are welcome to apply (While fresh graduates are considered, previous work experience [even internships or part-time jobs] can give candidates an edge).

Good time management skills, must be able to commit to work deadlines.

Must have basic Microsoft Excel knowledge.

Able to converse in Mandarin is added advantage to communicate with Mandarin-speaking vendors.
