• Diploma or Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar product and process engineering role, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and develop data-driven solutions.
• Proficient in the use of engineering design and analysis software systems.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Proficiency in Mandarin (reading and writing) for effective communication and documentation.
• A proactive and innovative mindset, with a commitment to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain detailed layouts of new project processes and related equipment.
• Manage first-off sample trial operations and process improvement activities.
• Resolve all problems encountered during trial runs of new products.
• Follow ECN procedures to coordinate manufacturing launch of new products.
• Assist in creating process flow charts and updating work instructions.
• Work closely with Production, Quality Control, and Maintenance teams.
• Identify product and process risks, perform root cause analysis.
• Liaise with customers and overseas engineers on process changes.
• Continuously improve machine and equipment processes.
• Design jigs and fixtures to improve production processes.
• Address and resolve customer concerns related to process or quality issues.
• Ensure all projects are executed within the specified timeline.
• Prepare documentation and reports related to process validation.
• Support internal and external audits by providing relevant documentation.
• Stay updated with new technologies, manufacturing methods.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the superior.

Overview

Sharp Win Industrial Sdn Bhd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Product and Process Engineer to join our team. This full-time role in Perai, Penang, will play a crucial part in driving the development, and continuous improvement of our manufacturing processes and products.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain detailed layouts of new project processes and related equipment.
• Manage first-off sample trial operations and process improvement activities.
• Resolve all problems encountered during trial runs of new products to prevent recurrence in subsequent production runs.
• Follow ECN (Engineering Change Notice) procedures to coordinate the manufacturing launch of new or revised products, and evaluate results to improve process yield and quality.
• Assist in creating process flow charts and updating work instructions based on actual processes.
• Work closely with Production, Quality Control, and Maintenance teams to identify critical control points and potential failures in running products.
• Identify product and process risks, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective solutions.
• Liaise with customers and overseas engineers (e.g., China counterparts) on process changes to ensure smooth implementation.
• Continuously improve machine and equipment processes to enhance product quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
• Design simple jigs and fixtures to improve production processes and productivity.
• Address and resolve customer concerns related to process or quality issues.
• Ensure all projects are executed and completed within the specified timeline.
• Prepare documentation and reports related to process validation, improvement activities, and project status.
• Support internal and external audits by providing relevant process and quality documentation.
• Stay updated with new technologies, manufacturing methods, and best practices to implement continuous improvement.
• Perform any other duties as requested or assigned by the superior.
