Job Description

Procurement (Approx. 70%)

  • Actively source and evaluate vendors to support warehouse and operational needs, ensuring the company always gets the most reliable and cost-effective options.
  • Request and compare quotations, not just on price, but also on quality, timelines, and service levels.
  • Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers to secure the best value for the business.
  • Work closely with internal teams (warehouse, operations, and finance) to make sure procurement requests are completed smoothly and on time.

Treasury (Approx. 30%)

  • Prepare and process payments through the online banking system
  • Manage the company's active accounts for day-to-day payments.
  • Handle subsidiary payments, approximately 30-40 transactions will be assigned to you each month.
  • Double-check accuracy and ensure payments are released according to the right timelines to maintain trust with suppliers and internal teams.
The Successful Applicant
  • A basic understanding of accounting fundamentals (e.g., debit/credit concepts) is useful, but you don't need advanced accounting or reporting experience.
  • System knowledge is not required - you will receive training on the job.
  • Strong attention to detail, since you'll be handling payments and comparisons.
  • Ability to multitask and stay organised, as you'll be switching between procurement tasks and payment duties.
  • Good communication and negotiation skills when dealing with vendors and internal stakeholders.
