Job Description
Procurement (Approx. 70%)
- Actively source and evaluate vendors to support warehouse and operational needs, ensuring the company always gets the most reliable and cost-effective options.
- Request and compare quotations, not just on price, but also on quality, timelines, and service levels.
- Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers to secure the best value for the business.
- Work closely with internal teams (warehouse, operations, and finance) to make sure procurement requests are completed smoothly and on time.
Treasury (Approx. 30%)
- Prepare and process payments through the online banking system
- Manage the company's active accounts for day-to-day payments.
- Handle subsidiary payments, approximately 30-40 transactions will be assigned to you each month.
- Double-check accuracy and ensure payments are released according to the right timelines to maintain trust with suppliers and internal teams.
The Successful Applicant
- A basic understanding of accounting fundamentals (e.g., debit/credit concepts) is useful, but you don't need advanced accounting or reporting experience.
- System knowledge is not required - you will receive training on the job.
- Strong attention to detail, since you'll be handling payments and comparisons.
- Ability to multitask and stay organised, as you'll be switching between procurement tasks and payment duties.
- Good communication and negotiation skills when dealing with vendors and internal stakeholders.
