In this role, you'll be instrumental in shaping our supply chain, from end-to-end sourcing and tender management to negotiating key agreements and identifying innovative solutions. Your expertise in vendor management, supplier relationship building, and analytical thinking will directly contribute to our efficiency and bottom line.

Main Job responsibility:

  • Lead end-to-end procurement activities for direct categories, the sub-categories include but are not limited to Road Transport, Packaging, Fuel, Fleet & Maintenance, Material Handling Equipment, amongst others.
  • Negotiate, implement, and manage supplier agreements to secure optimal terms and drive maximum value.
  • Develop and execute transparent sourcing strategies, including managing comprehensive tender processes.
  • Conduct cost analysis, benchmarking, and scenario planning to support decision-making.
  • Analyse spend data to uncover cost-saving opportunities and contribute to category strategies.
  • Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Monitor supplier performance and identify innovative ways to enhance productivity and profitability.
  • Prepare compelling presentations on savings plans and performance insights.
  • Project management: Experienced in managing procurement projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery and budget adherence.

What You'll Bring:

  • Holding a bachelor’s degree qualification in relevant area will be preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a procurement role, ideally with a focus on direct procurement.
  • Proven expertise in tender process, vendor management and contract negotiation.
  • Understanding of logistics or supply chain coordination (i.e. road transport, ocean freight, air freight) is desirable.
  • Strong analytical skills, including advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, charts, and other advanced functions for spend and performance analysis).
  • Ability to communicate complex commercial strategies and influence cross-functional teams.
  • A proactive mindset with a strong drive for cost savings and process improvement.
