A leading telecommunications service provider is seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to enhance procurement operations for regional projects. The role involves sourcing strategies, vendor management, and process improvement initiatives aligned with business expansion. Ideal candidates should have 10+ years of experience and strong negotiation skills.
We are looking for an experienced and resourceful Procurement Specialist to support and drive procurement operations across regional projects
This role involves end-to-end procurement management, vendor engagement, cost optimization, and coordination with stakeholders. You’ll also support the growth of our procurement team and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aligned with our expansion in the telecommunications industry.
What you will be doing:
Assist in executing effective sourcing strategies and supplier management plans across the Asia Pacific region.
Conduct vendor audits, evaluate supplier performance, and maintain robust supplier relationships.
Negotiate contract terms, pricing, and delivery schedules to meet cost-saving and project requirements.
Analyze procurement data, monitor spend, and generate dashboards to identify risks, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
Guide and train junior procurement team members; act as a point of escalation for procurement-related challenges.
Maintain and update the vendor/subcontractor database, leveraging your existing networks where possible.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including project, operations, finance, and logistics to ensure alignment between procurement activities and project needs.
Work within ERP systems such as NetSuite or SAP for tracking, approvals, and procurement reporting.
Liaise with regional teams to ensure supplier engagement and on-ground procurement support.
Ensure all procurement activities adhere to internal policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.
What you should have:
Bachelor’s Degree and / or Procurement, Supply Chain, Project Management and /or relevant industry certification(s) preferred.
Minimum 10 years of working experience in procurement, ideally in construction-related industries.
Procurement experience in data center, cleanroom or commercial properties is an advantage.
Regional exposure across Asia Pacific is highly desirable.
Strong negotiation and vendor management skills with cost-saving achievements.
Experience in vendor audits, training juniors, and maintaining vendor/subcon networks.
Ability to perform data analytics and create procurement dashboards.
Exposure to vessels or marine-related procurement is an added advantage.
Self-motivated with maturity, strong team spirit, and eagerness to learn about the telco industry.
Willing to travel for regional procurement activities.
