Why does this job exist and why is it critical?

Responsibilities
  • Support the team in executing RFx (request for quotation/tender) processes which includes drafting RFx documents, sending out RFx invitations to vendors, consolidating vendor responses, analyzing vendor quotes, and preparing recommendation summaries
  • For sourcing < RM250k, support in negotiation of commercial terms and conditions, ensuring alignment with organizational requirements and procurement policies
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and provide feedback to senior associates / managers on areas where operational efficiency can be enhanced
Qualifications
  • Degree holder or equivalent work experience
  • Strong written communication skills in English
  • Basic knowledge of MS Office applications (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Experience in customer service environment preferred
  • Able to perform under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Independent, proactive and self-motivated individual who works well in a dynamic and fast paced environment
  • Willingness to learn new things and adapt quickly
