Job summary

A leading logistics company is seeking a Procurement Officer to oversee global supplier relationships and optimize procurement strategies across Asia. This role includes executing tenders and managing supplier performance while ensuring compliance with company procurement policies. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of relevant experience, along with strong negotiation and communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with additional qualifications in Procurement.
  • Experience in SAP / Ariba modules required.
  • Minimum of 3 years in a procurement role.

Job description

Procurement Officer (Buyer) – North Asia

Act as procurement focal point for suppliers/end users for the assigned stations across Asia.

Execute tenders, negotiate T&Cs, and draw comparisons/recommendations.

Explore consolidation and savings opportunities for country-wise 3rd party addressable spend, and develop a localized procurement strategy to support the business.

Assist station teams in decision-making related to purchasing requirements. Liaise with global support/excellence teams as needed to establish long-term contracts and handle subsequent day-to-day deliveries/performance management issues at stations.

Prequalify, onboard, and manage supplier performance in coordination with the Vendor Management team, taking ownership of the Procure-to-Pay cycle for assigned stations.

Establish relationships with key stakeholders, gather requirements, refine specifications, and facilitate technical evaluations to obtain the best value proposals.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as legal, finance, and contracts to establish and negotiate supplier agreements.

Ensure adherence to company procurement policies, systems, and procedures.

Manage contracts effectively and ensure timely renewals through a proper tender plan.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree with additional qualifications in Procurement such as CIPS or similar.

Must have experience in SAP / Ariba modules.

Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in Procurement.

Good communication and negotiation skills with commercial acumen.
