Procurement Manager (Construction) - Mon to Fri + Alt Sat - Based Sungai Petani

Our client, a local construction company with over 12 years of experience delivering public, municipal, and private heavy civil and utility construction projects across Malaysia, is looking for a Procurement Manager to join the team in Sungai Petani.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing innovative and cost-efficient procurement strategies.
  • Identifying and engaging dependable suppliers and vendors.
  • Negotiating favorable terms and conditions.
  • Evaluating existing supplier contracts for feasibility and performance.
  • Cultivating long-term relationships with vendors and suppliers.
  • Approving purchase orders and coordinating timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Conducting risk assessments on contracts and agreements.
  • Managing the procurement budget and fostering a culture of sustainable cost savings.
  • Preparing detailed procurement reports for management review.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business Administration.
  • Proven experience in managing supply chain operations.
  • Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools, including SQL.
  • Strong understanding of contract preparation, invoicing, and negotiation.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access).
  • Demonstrated leadership and management capabilities.
  • Excellent multitasking and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.
