Procurement Manager

Objective

ZUS Coffee is rapidly expanding in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector; dedicated to delivering high quality ready-to-drink beverages and drinkware products and merchandise. We are looking for a Procurement Manager to manage the direct relationships with our manufacturers and raw material suppliers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the entire procurement process, ensuring efficient and cost-effective acquisition of raw materials, goods and services while maintaining quality standards and managing supplier relationships.

Position Responsibilities

1. Developing And Implementing Procurement Strategies:
   This includes creating sourcing strategies, policies, and procedures to align with business goals and optimize procurement operations.
2. Sourcing and Evaluating Suppliers:
   Identifying, evaluating, and selecting reliable suppliers, negotiating contracts, and managing supplier relationships.
3. Negotiating Contracts and Prices:
   Securing favorable terms and conditions from suppliers to achieve cost savings and ensure quality.
4. Managing Procurement Operations:
   Overseeing the entire procurement process, from initial needs assessment to order placement, delivery, and payment.
5. Ensuring Compliance:
   Adhering to company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements related to procurement.
6. Managing Budgets:
   Developing and monitoring procurement budgets, ensuring cost-effective spending, and identifying opportunities for cost reduction.
7. Analyzing Market Trends:
   Staying up to date on industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to make informed procurement decisions.
8. Managing Risks:
   Identifying and mitigating potential risks in the supply chain, such as supplier disruptions, cost fluctuations, and quality issues.
9. Building and Maintaining Supplier Relationships:
   Fostering strong relationships with suppliers to ensure long-term partnerships and access to quality goods and services.
10. Reporting and Analysis:
    Tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), preparing reports, and analyzing procurement data to identify areas for improvement.
11. Leadership and Team Management:
    Motivate and provide guidance to team members, helping them develop skills and knowledge related to procurement processes, ensuring they meet performance standards and deadlines. Maintain clear and effective communication with team members, other departments, and external stakeholders.

Qualification & Experiences

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5+ years of procurement experience within the FMCG sector, preferably in the beverage industry with raw materials handling.
• Strong negotiation skills and experience managing supplier contracts.
• Able to communicate with suppliers in both English and Mandarin.
• Possess advanced Excel skills for data analysis.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Able and willing to work in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Has knowledge of industry regulations and quality standards preferably related to food and beverage products.
