About the Role
Execute end-to-end strategic sourcing activities in accordance with the Procurement policy and provide excellence throughout the process analyzing information, delivering sourcing strategies, identifying requirements and opportunities, negotiating terms and conditions, and contracting products and/or services.
Responsibilities
- Work with Technology related stakeholders and business leaders to continuously identify opportunities for the organization within the category.
- Be an advocate of the Procurement policy and relevant processes to facilitate more efficient and effective methods of getting value for money.
- Adherence to and incorporate Procurement policy and processes, including collaboration with Legal (GCO), Risk Management, IT, other Procurement categories as appropriate.
- Coordinate, gather, develop, and share subject matter expertise through the various channels.
- Drive an inclusive and sustainable sourcing mindset to build a better working world.
- Complete procurement diagnostic of supplier spends in nominated country/countries, including tail spend and identifying better ways to facilitate sourcing activities.
- Produce recommendations/options (while identifying associated benefits e.g. commercial, product/service value, risk mitigation and insights) for an efficient long-term procurement support model, capturing procurement and supplier spend management activities.
- Provides structured management and accurate progress reporting during regular meetings.
- Minimize contractual risks to and manage supplier relationships according to Procurement and Independence policies.
- Act as a trusted business advisor to stakeholders, aligning procurement projects with the business’ pipeline and providing Exceptional Customer Services while delivering both brand and quantitative value to the bottom line through cost savings and cost avoidance.
Qualifications
- Business degree or equivalent.
- CPM (US), CIPS (UK) or similar Procurement certification.
Required Skills
- A minimum of 7 – 10+ years of experience in Procurement in a collaborative, high-performance environment and a minimum of 5+ years of experience in the Technology Professional Services / generalist categories.
- Significant Procurement expertise throughout the end-to-end Procurement life cycle.
- Strong communication skills; written, verbal and presentation.
- Strong business acumen in order to drive results and ability to link business needs to sourcing strategies.
- Assertive in sharing ideas, clear and concise, and seek to build relationships across a wide range of stakeholder audiences.
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to complete multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- High levels of EQ and cultural awareness to build relationships, align efforts, and effectively influence.
- A desire to be part of a high-performance, transformational environment that is fast-paced and collaborative.
- Effective decision-making skills that increase the speed and efficiency of processes.
- Tenacious problem-solver with a focus on building mutually beneficial relationships.
- Managing and reporting sourcing projects with experience in some e-RFx/Auction tool, and execution of online Rfx and e-Auctions.
- Strong analytical skills converting data into decision-quality information and using it strategically to drive successful outcomes.
- Curiosity that allows you to constantly learn and challenge the status quo.
- Respect for others and a desire to work as a team with stakeholders and the Procurement team.
Preferred Skills
- Language fluency in Japanese (Excellent Business Communication).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in business English.
- Experience working in a global organization is preferred.
