Procurement Manager
Job Description:
The successful candidate for this position has experience in the manufacturing industry and a strong understanding of procurement concepts.
Independent and able to handle import & domestic procurement.
Should have exposure to basic material planning based on continuous production planning.
Candidate should have core experience in purchase and logistics management of various commodities used in the industry.
Oversee the upstream procurement process and hand over to supply chain for ongoing supplier management.
Collect and analyze supplier performance data to guide sourcing strategy adjustment.
Knowledge of SST, customs clearance, and other taxation is a must.
Good analytical skills with proven experience in cost-cutting/cost-saving activities are desirable.
Inventory management.
Key knowledge and experience:
Solid experience in Procurement or Strategic Sourcing.
Experience in ICT, software, and hardware will be an advantage.
Strong customer focus and external relationship management skills.
Proven leadership abilities with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of leading multi-disciplinary teams.
Expertise in Procurement, Contract Management, or Commercial roles.
Background in complex project environments and large organizations, with experience interacting across all levels of management.
Skilled in negotiating and managing contract spend.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and influence decisions.
Tertiary qualification in business, engineering, project management, or a related field.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in any field related.
Minimum 5 years of working experience as a Procurement Manager.
Knowledge/Skills: Microsoft Excel, Auto Count, QNE.
