Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in any related courses or its equivalent from reputable universities.
• At least 3-4 years proven experience working with cross functional teams to ensure cost control and process improvements.
• Working experience in manufacturing environment or currently in similar role is an added advantage.
• Experience in ERP environment is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills, problem solver, positive thinking and analytical abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for raw material procurement activities like sourcing, purchasing and negotiations.
• Collaborate with production planners to align order quantity and delivery schedule.
• Lead vendor evaluation, selection, negotiation and performance monitoring.
• Evaluate root causes and propose resolutions for vendor-related challenges.
• Work with the project team on project delivery and coordinate vendor matters.
• Analyze past purchase data to determine priority materials based on usage, price and availability.
• Recommend long-term commercial contracts.
• Participate in purchasing automation and digitalization improvements.
• Lead annual cost-down activities.
