Job description

The Financial Analyst – Procurement plays a key role in the Supply Chain Finance organization for Ecolab AP markets. The primary responsibilities are supporting the monthly accounting, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting for Asia-Pacific Procurement-related costing and variation. This position will focus on activities such as analysis of regional purchases, unit cost trends, material cost, net structural savings, predictions of current and future financial impact for procurement spend and tracking material savings. This position supports the International and AP Markets Procurement Organization by delivering timely and accurate reporting and analysis on actions and savings initiatives. This role reports to the Manager Financial Analysis I – Procurement in the AP Region.

What You Will Do:
• Support monthly reporting, forecasting, and analytics specific to Procurement spending, including purchase price variation (PPV) and Year-over-Year cost changes for the AP markets
• Analyze trends due to external factors such as feedstock changes and foreign exchange and internal factors such as volume and mix by market. Review, investigate and report on significant variances.
• Support the transition of PPV related activities from SCF into Procurement Finance.
• Analyze PPV variances and provide actionable insights to Divisions and Supply Chain Teams.
• Support overall materials cost and PPV budgeting process and product cost standards budget analysis
• Partner with procurement and division teams to identify, track, and drive savings opportunities (e.g. net structural savings, gross margin initiatives, pricing)
• Facilitate business partnerships through communications with Division Finance and Global Supply Chain finance around materials variance analysis, forecasting and Rate-Volume-Mix analysis
• Create and maintain accurate material costing and Kilos data in a regional database
• Provide ad hoc reporting and analysis as necessary to support procurement and division activities
• Provide additional support to the AP, Int’l markets and Global Supply Chain Finance team as needed

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
• Minimum 3 years of direct accounting or finance experience
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft office, especially on Excel.
• English speaker

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience working with SAP
• Costing or SC experience
• Understanding of the company P&L, and how/where Procurement can help to drive profitability
• Forecasting and budgeting experience
• Experience in managing large data sets and data extraction from various systems
• Ability to effectively communicate complex information in a succinct and clear manner
