A leading firm specializing in automation systems is seeking a procurement professional in Selangor. The role involves sourcing, negotiation, and managing suppliers to enhance production efficiency. Candidates should hold a degree in business or a related field, with a focus on procurement or supply chain experience. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential. You will primarily be responsible for sourcing, negotiation, and supplier management to support the company's production and operational needs. You will focus on the end-to-end procurement process for materials crucial to manufacturing.
Source, select & negotiate with suppliers based on cost, quality & delivery to obtain the best value for goods & services in line with project timelines.
Manage purchasing process from purchase requisition, purchase orders to delivery, ensuring timely availability of all required materials.
Coordinate with suppliers on delivery, non conforming parts & warranty claims.
Delivery & maintain strong relationships with suppliers & oversee suppliers on time delivery & quality performance.
Support tender team to obtain latest cost from suppliers.
Ensure purchasing & procurement activities comply with the company's policies & procedures, code of ethics, values & adherence to relevant laws & regulations.
Other duties & assignments as instructed by superiors from time to time.
You will work with a team of dedicated procurement professionals and receive good exposure to a large-scale manufacturing environment.
Bachelor degree in Business studies/ Engineering/ Supply Chain related field or equivalent experience.
At least 2 years of experience in purchasing, procurement or supply chain management.
Preferably working experience in project manufacturing & assembly environment.
Mechanical or Electrical knowledge will be an added advantage.
Strong communication skill & attention to details.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities & meet deadlines.
Ability to work well in a team & adapt to a fast paced environment.
