THIS POSITION IS TO BE BASED IN KUNDANG, RAWANG, SELANGOR
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and manage the procurement team in handling all procurement documentation, including Purchase Orders (PO), Purchase Requests (PR), Goods Received Notes (GRN), and vendor registration in the SAP system.
- Lead the engineering store operations, monitor inventory levels, and collaborate with operations to ensure timely material supply without overstocking.
- Conduct a comparative analysis of supplier quotations, ensuring delivery of quality products at the lowest possible cost.
- Evaluate supplier performance and quality of purchased goods while ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and relevant certifications (e.g., ISI, HACCP, HALAL, FSSC).
- Develop, implement, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), policies, and guidelines for procurement and supply chain activities.
- Builds and maintains effective relationships with both external vendors and internal stakeholders across departments.
- Responsible for procurement-related audits, contract management, and ensuring effective use and management of the SAP system.
- Prepare and present procurement reports and cost analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Coordinate interdepartmental order placements to meet operational needs.
- Attend trade shows and exhibitions to remain current on industry trends and market conditions.
- Resolve procurement issues such as delays, product quality disputes, and payment discrepancies through proactive liaison with relevant parties.
- Ensure adherence to procurement procedures, internal controls, and audit standards.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the superior or management.
JOB SUCCESS REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong knowledge of vendor sourcing practices, including researching, evaluating, and maintaining vendor relationships.
- Minimum of 5 years of procurement experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in the SAP procurement modules is an added advantage.
- Strong negotiation, costing, and presentation skills.
- High accuracy, organization, and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
