A leading company in the manufacturing sector is seeking a Procurement Executive to lead their procurement team. The successful candidate will manage supplier relationships, oversee procurement methods, and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Lead and manage the procurement team in handling all procurement documentation, including Purchase Orders (PO), Purchase Requests (PR), Goods Received Notes (GRN), and vendor registration in the SAP system.
Lead the engineering store operations, monitor inventory levels, and collaborate with operations to ensure timely material supply without overstocking.
Conduct a comparative analysis of supplier quotations, ensuring delivery of quality products at the lowest possible cost.
Evaluate supplier performance and quality of purchased goods while ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and relevant certifications (e.g., ISI, HACCP, HALAL, FSSC).
Develop, implement, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), policies, and guidelines for procurement and supply chain activities.
Builds and maintains effective relationships with both external vendors and internal stakeholders across departments.
Responsible for procurement-related audits, contract management, and ensuring effective use and management of the SAP system.
Prepare and present procurement reports and cost analysis to support strategic decision-making.
Coordinate interdepartmental order placements to meet operational needs.
Attend trade shows and exhibitions to remain current on industry trends and market conditions.
Resolve procurement issues such as delays, product quality disputes, and payment discrepancies through proactive liaison with relevant parties.
Ensure adherence to procurement procedures, internal controls, and audit standards.
Perform any other duties assigned by the superior or management.
JOB SUCCESS REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or equivalent practical experience.
Strong knowledge of vendor sourcing practices, including researching, evaluating, and maintaining vendor relationships.
Minimum of 5 years of procurement experience in a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in the SAP procurement modules is an added advantage.
Strong negotiation, costing, and presentation skills.
High accuracy, organization, and attention to detail.
Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
