Job summary

Evyap in Malaysia is seeking a procurement professional to manage end-to-end CAPEX and engineering procurement, coordinating with Engineering, Maintenance and Production teams. The role focuses on RFQs, supplier evaluation, and commercial negotiations to ensure timely delivery and compliance.

Ideal candidates will have a bachelor's degree in a related field and 3+ years in procurement within oleochemicals or FMCG manufacturing, with SAP experience considered an advantage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Mechanical/Electrical/Mechatronics Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of procurement experience in oleochemicals, chemical, or FMCG manufacturing preferred.
• Experience with MRO, engineering spare parts, or CAPEX purchases.
• Experience with SAP or other ERP systems is an advantage.
• Ability to read/interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and datasheets is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage procurement for CAPEX and engineering projects, including equipment, machinery, systems, installation and services.
• Oversee tender processes: RFQs, supplier pre-qualification, bid evaluation, clarification, negotiation and award recommendation.
• Source and evaluate local and international suppliers and service providers.
• Conduct commercial negotiations on pricing, payment terms, delivery, warranties and contracts.
• Manage procurement for MRO items including mechanical, electrical, instrumentation parts.

Main Purpose of the Position:

Manage the end-to-end procurement process for engineering, CAPEX and MRO requirements, from PR/RFQ through quotation evaluation, negotiation, PO award and delivery completion. Work closely with Engineering, Maintenance, Production, and Project teams to understand technical requirements and procurement specifications.

Job Description:

• Manage procurement activities for CAPEX and engineering projects, including equipment, machinery, systems, installation and engineering services
• Manage project tendering processes, including preparation of RFQs/tender documents, supplier pre-qualification, technical and commercial bid evaluation, clarification, negotiation and recommendation for award
• Source, evaluate and develop suitable local and international suppliers, contractors and engineering service providers
• Conduct commercial negotiations covering pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, warranty, liquidated damages and other contractual terms
• Manage procurement for Maintenance Repair Operations (MRO) items, including mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and other engineering spare parts

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Mechanical/Electrical/Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Procurement in Oleochemicals, Chemical or FMCG Manufacturing industry preferred
• Experience in handling MRO, engineering spare parts, maintenance services, or CAPEX purchases
• Experience in SAP or other ERP systems is advantage
• Ability to understand/interpret engineering drawings, specifications, equipment's, datasheets would be a PLUS
• Experience in tendering processes, bid evaluations, commercial evaluations is an advantage
