Job summary

A leading company in the aluminium sector seeks a Procurement Executive to manage daily procurement processes, vendor evaluation, and ensure compliance with quality standards. Candidates should have a minimum of a Diploma/Degree and relevant experience, with a preference for Mandarin speakers. This role requires strong negotiation and interpersonal skills, making an impact on the company's success.

Qualifications

• Fluent in Mandarin preferred for dealing with vendors from China.
• 5-6 years of experience in procurement roles.
• Strong sense of responsibility and ownership.

Responsibilities

• In-charge of daily procurement processes and vendor performance evaluation.
• Ensure procurement documents follow company policies.
• Adhere to ISO 9001:2015 and related standards.

Sourcing, negotiating, comparing, and analysing materials and services to be purchased, and evaluate vendor's quotation to ensure in line with the technical specification and commercial terms required

Be in-charge of daily procurement processes such as planning, issuing, and following up on purchase orders delivery and shipment schedules

Evaluate vendor's performance based on quality standards, delivery time & best prices

Ensure all procurement processes and documents are following company policies and well documented

Undertake any other ad-hoc duties and responsibilities as assigned by the superior

Adhere to ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 & ISO 45001:2018 requirement and best practices in procurement

Taking overall responsibility and accountability for the effectiveness of the HSE management system and prevention of work-related injury and ill health, as well as the provision of environmentally friendly, safe and healthy workplace and activities

What are we looking for:-

Minimum Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain, Economics, Business Administration or relevant field of study with at least 5-6 years of experience in related field

Fluent in Mandarin preferred as role requires candidate to deal with vendor from China

Strong sense of responsibility, ownership, pride in performance and its impact on Company's success

A well-organized individual, independent, self-starter, result-oriented, thorough with strong interpersonal skills

Candidate must willing travel to Bintulu occasionally
