Job description

• Sourcing for quotation and price negotiation for material supply.
• Preparing plans for the purchase of equipment and services.
• Analyzing spend data and identifying cost saving.
• Following and enforcing the company's procurement policies and procedures.
• Manage vendor and supplier selection process based on price, quality, support, capacity, and reliability.
• Check material requisition and issue Purchase Order to suppliers.
• Check and sign all invoices.
• Managing inventories and maintaining accurate purchase and pricing records.
• Maintaining and updating supplier information such as qualifications, delivery times, product ranges, etc.
• Maintaining good supplier relations and negotiating contracts.
• Researching and evaluating prospective suppliers.
• Good interpersonal skill in a must.

Job Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma/ Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain/ Business Administration or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a procurement officer in marine industry or in a similar position/capacity.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and purchasing software.
• Fluent languages skills verbal and written in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Good analytical and strategic thinking skills.
• Ability to work in a team and to perform under pressure.
• Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
• Able to travel and possess own car.
