Job description

1. Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in any related field

2. At least 3 years of relevant working experience in purchasing or supply chain roles

3. Ability to prioritize competing demands and work on own initiative

4. Independent and self-motivated achiever

5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proven negotiation skills.

6. Proficiency in Mandarin is highly preferred to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.

8. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

9. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

10. Thorough understanding of materials and supplies used in the company.

11. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and SAP.

12. Willing to be on standby and available to work long hours, including on public holidays, when required.

13. Occasional travel may be required to visit suppliers or attend procurement-related events.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Sourcing New suppliers, direct materials, components for machinery.

2. Conduct the supplier qualification.

3. Conduct part and processes qualification at supplier.

4. Assist on the new product development.

5. Identify and establish contract with suppliers to manage items costing during the life of the product.

6. Obtain quotations and conduct product costing.

7. Analyse materials specification, cost breakdown and current market price competitiveness.

8. Negotiate terms and conditions for the materials and process to source.

9. Generate cost saving ideas and lead implementation projects.

10. Manage relationship with the suppliers and collect market information from the suppliers.

11. Evaluate the performance of the suppliers.

12. Assist to relate department on any issues that may appear at supplier site included but not limited to quality and assurance of supply issues.

13. Prepare monthly cost down, localization report & procurement window by project.

14. Supply market study for related product category.

15. Follow up sample and FAI realization process and manufacturing
